Reminder for IB Students: Watching External Productions
This is just a reminder that IB students are expected to watch at least one external play per semester and submit a critique. It is highly recommended that you watch as many as possible to widen your perspective and develop critiquing skills. Manila is rich in theater productions (see bottom of right sidebar for useful links). The play MUST have been staged during the semester, not before. Plays watched over the summer break between the first and second years may be counted as part of the first semester of the second year. Submit your ticket with your critique as evidence of attendance. Procure a program of any play you watch (to save money, if you’re with a group or a friend, chip in to buy it and share afterward). This is so you can identify people and roles professionally (not, say, “the guy who played the king”–NAME the actor and NAME his character!). For reminders on what a good reflection is, please see Reminders for Journals. Deadline for critique this semester is May 10.
